Our New-Build Kitchen Reveal

Since this was a “semi-custom” home, the builder normally provides all the lighting. However, rather than us choosing from their standard lighting packages, I decided to opt-in for their “free” lighting package so I could swap them out as soon as we moved in. I was able to find my own light fixtures with a “designer look” for a more reasonable price than those of the builder upgrades. The pendants and sconces in my kitchen were both found on Amazon, and I love them SO much. You can find the island pendants HERE and the shelving sconces HERE.

We also decided to break up the all-white color scheme with a painted grey island, and painted our interior doors grey throughout the downstairs; as you can see on our pantry door. The grey accent color is called Lazy Afternoon, and it’s by PPG Paints.

Our countertops are all quartz and we used a darker grey for the parameter countertops (MQ Charcoal quartz), and a marble look-a-like quartz (MQ Calacatta Joya Quartz) for the island.  The open shelves were custom built, and so was the hood wrap.
