Fall Wardrobe: Changing a Look at the Drop of a Hat

Ever since I can remember, I’ve been a hat girl. And I’m proud to say that my third grade school picture can prove it. I wore a massive Blossom-inspired denim hat with a cranberry colored faux floral smack dab on the front. Hats weren’t allowed in school, so I had to pack it in my backpack and wear it only for the picture. I. felt. so. cool. Fast forward a few decades and although my style has changed, my love for hats hasn’t. There were a few years in my twenties that I thought I wasn’t “stylish enough” to “pull off” a hat, but after two kids and my twenties in my past, I pretty much don’t give a crap. I like hats. So I’m going to wear hats. Lots of them, in fact! Today I’m sharing how three hats can completely change the look of one outfit. I love…

Kid Style: Transitioning From Summer to Fall

These kiddos. Man. They just kill me! They’re at such a fun age (they’re 1 and 2) and I’m just loving each and every stage we’re experiencing with them. Well, minus those lovely tantrums of course. We recently moved cities (you can read more about that here) and have been exploring our new hood over the last few weeks. Today I wanted to share a bit of my kiddos style and talk about how I’m transitioning their summer outfits into fall outfits. For Harper, I love using summer dresses for fall and simply carrying around a sweater for her in case the nights get a little chilly. I also tend to use Hudson’s summer Ts for…

Amazon Lately: Tassel Earrings

For those of you who don’t know, Amazon is AMAZING. It’s always full of surprises, and sadly, I’ve developed a bit of an addiction to it. I mean — Who doesn’t love getting a box of goodies delivered to their house on a monthly… weekly… er… daily basis? If I can order it on Amazon, I will. Even my jewelry. Though shopping at overpriced boutiques might be a fun afternoon out with the girls, I have a real hard time paying $80 for a pair of earrings that I know I can find online for $15. Heck. Maybe even $10. Especially if they’re trendy like tassel earrings. I have a feeling this look won’t be in style forever, so I really don’t want to pay an arm and a leg for the designer version. I’d much rather get a few pairs in different colors and pay $15 or less for…
